*Role Summary*
The Finance Officer will manage daily financial operations, maintain accurate bookkeeping, process transactions, and support basic financial reporting. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with internal controls, donor documentation, and basic accounting procedures.
*Key Responsibilities*
• Record daily financial transactions (income, expenses, donations, grants, programmes)
• Ensure all transactions are properly approved and documented
• Manage petty cash and perform reconciliations
• Process payments to vendors, service providers, and partners
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and schedules to support monthly reporting
• Assist during audits with financial records and documentation
• Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned
*Requirements*
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Part or fully qualified professional certification (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance role
• Experience in a non-profit or donor-funded organisation is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and willingness to learn
