Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Technician to support day-to-day field and plant operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production activities by monitoring equipment, executing operational tasks, identifying abnormalities, and maintaining compliance with operational, safety, and environmental standards.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong hands-on experience in oil & gas or energy operations who are committed to operational excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily field and plant operations to ensure uninterrupted production
- Monitor and operate production equipment in line with standard operating procedures
- Identify, report, and respond to operational abnormalities and equipment issues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
- Execute routine operational checks and maintenance support activities
- Read and interpret P&IDs, operating manuals, and technical drawings
- Participate in troubleshooting and basic problem-solving activities
- Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams
- Comply with shift schedules, including nights and weekends when required
Requirements & Qualifications
- National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in operations within the oil & gas or energy sector
- Strong understanding of production operations, equipment handling, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, operating manuals, and technical drawings
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
