A reputable downstream oil & gas company is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join its retail operations as Station Managers. Successful candidates will be responsible for the daily management of filling/service stations, ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, excellent customer service, and sustained sales growth.
Note: Retail stations are located in Takoradi, Kumasi, and Accra. Applicants must be willing to be posted to any of these locations.
Job Overview & Purpose
The Station Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day operation and management of a filling/service station. The role ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory standards while driving sales performance, customer satisfaction, safety excellence, and asset protection.
The Station Manager leads the station team to deliver strong financial performance, enhance brand reputation, and maximize return on investment through operational excellence and customer value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the filling/service station
- Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting, and documentation
- Enforce health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards
- Drive product sales and revenue growth through proactive customer engagement
- Ensure excellent customer service on the forecourt and within the station
- Manage and safeguard station assets, equipment, and inventory
- Monitor business performance, sales trends, and operational KPIs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the station team
- Contribute to the company’s brand image and reputation
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum good first degree) from a recognized university
- 1–2 years relevant work experience, preferably in downstream oil & gas sales or marketing
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience in petroleum retail operations is an added advantage
