Job Summary
Databank Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Financial Analyst to join its Research Team. The successful candidate will support investment decision-making through in-depth financial analysis, market research, company valuation, and economic analysis. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about financial markets, equity research, and data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis of listed and unlisted companies.
- Prepare equity research reports, industry reports, and market outlooks.
- Analyze macroeconomic trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics.
- Build and maintain financial models, valuation models, and forecasting tools.
- Monitor financial markets, equities, fixed income instruments, and economic indicators.
- Provide actionable investment insights to portfolio managers and stakeholders.
- Support investment strategy formulation and performance evaluation.
- Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with local and global financial market developments.
- Assist with ad-hoc research projects and analytical tasks as required.
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (CFA, ACCA, CIMA or progress toward them) are an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial analysis, valuation, and modeling skills.
- Solid understanding of Ghana’s financial markets and regulatory framework.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong research, report-writing, and presentation skills.
Experience
- Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in financial analysis, equity research, investment research, or a related role within the financial services industry.
