About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of FX Sales to lead and grow our Retail and Corporate Financial Markets portfolio. This role is responsible for driving foreign exchange (FX) and fixed income (FI) sales, strengthening client relationships, and positioning the bank as the preferred Financial Markets partner for Retail and Corporate clients.
The successful candidate will work closely with Relationship Managers, Retail and Corporate Desk Heads, and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored Financial Markets solutions while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and internal risk frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
FX Sales & Business Development
- Manage and grow the Retail and Corporate FX and investment portfolio.
- Provide tailored Financial Markets solutions to meet clients’ FX and investment needs.
- Trade directly with clients and manage FX spreads to optimize profitability.
- Drive growth in FX and Fixed Income business and increase the bank’s share of wallet.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the Financial Markets customer base.
- Develop and execute call plans, proposals, and client engagement strategies.
- Compile and execute annual portfolio business plans with regular performance reporting.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Work closely with Retail and Corporate Desk Heads, Relationship Managers, and Operations teams.
- Serve as the primary internal and external contact for Financial Markets sales activities.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through proactive service and engagement.
- Represent the bank in client meetings, presentations, and approved networking engagements.
- Promote a strong “One Team” culture across business units.
Trading & Operational Excellence
- Accurately input FX transactions into the blotter in line with SLAs and cut-off times.
- Ensure FX blotter data reconciles with Flexcube and internal systems.
- Support efficient FX allocation across Strategic Business Units (SBUs).
- Generate timely and accurate sales, performance, and management reports.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to Fidelity Bank Ghana’s policies, procedures, and dealer limits.
- Maintain strong compliance with Bank of Ghana regulations and exchange control rules.
- Ensure full compliance with KYC and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
- Manage reputational risk by delivering high-quality service to all clients.
- Promote and maintain a strong compliance and risk-aware culture.
Education & Professional Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline
Preferred
- ACI Dealing Certificate
- Additional banking or financial markets certifications
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ banking experience, preferably in:
- Financial Markets Sales
- FX or Product Sales
- Treasury or related functions
