Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Audit Manager to lead audit and assurance engagements, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and deep expertise in IFRS and Nigerian regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute audit and assurance engagements across multiple clients.
- Lead and supervise audit teams, ensuring quality delivery and adherence to timelines.
- Review financial statements and audit reports in line with IFRS and professional standards.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and professional relationships.
- Provide strategic audit insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support business development initiatives, including client proposals and engagement expansion.
- Mentor and develop junior audit staff, fostering a high-performance audit team.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent (mandatory).
- 5–7 years of experience in audit and assurance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, and corporate governance frameworks.
- Proven experience in client management and business development.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
