Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Accra, Ghana. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production, strict adherence to GMP and regulatory standards, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep pharmaceutical production expertise, and a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage pharmaceutical production activities to meet business and customer demand
- Ensure full compliance with GMP, WHO standards, and regulatory requirements
- Lead, coach, and evaluate production teams to achieve high performance
- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control
- Develop and execute production strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, R&D, and Supply Chain teams
- Monitor production KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Manage production budgets, materials, and resource allocation
- Identify training needs and develop technical and leadership capabilities within the production team
Qualifications & Experience
- Pharm-D, B.Pharm, or M.Sc in Pharmacy or a related discipline
- 5–10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging
- Strong working knowledge of GMP, regulatory guidelines, and quality standards
- Proven experience managing production teams and manufacturing operations
- Hands-on experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management
- Proficiency in MS Office and production/manufacturing software
