Key Responsibilities
Process Monitoring & Control
- Monitor metallurgical processes from the control room
- Plan and execute operational tasks according to procedures
- Identify and report process deviations promptly
- Support achievement of safe production targets
- Maintain accurate operational records
Production & Efficiency
- Ensure qualitative and quantitative output targets are met
- Optimize use of available plant resources
- Initiate productivity improvement ideas
- Support cost-saving initiatives within operations
- Coordinate activities in line with plant controls
Safety, Compliance & Standards
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Ensure adherence to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Follow established engineering and metallurgical procedures
- Report hazards, incidents, and near misses immediately
- Support implementation of continuous improvement practices
Requirements & Qualifications
- Senior High School Certificate (minimum)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar control room or plant role
- Demonstrated understanding of control room operations
- Relevant Certificate of Competence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Valid light-duty vehicle driving license
- Medical fitness for mining/plant environment
- Willingness to work extended hours when required
- Practical, hands-on operational mindset
