Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Category Lead – Marketing (Edible Oil & Fats) to drive category growth, brand performance, and market leadership within the FMCG sector. This role is ideal for a strategic and execution-focused marketing professional with strong experience in brand management, trade marketing, and category leadership.
The successful candidate will lead end-to-end category strategy, oversee integrated marketing campaigns, and collaborate closely with sales, distributors, and cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategy and annual marketing plans aligned with business objectives
- Lead brand management, including ATL, BTL, and digital marketing campaigns
- Ensure packaging development and alignment with brand positioning and regulatory standards
- Drive trade marketing and channel activation in collaboration with sales teams and distributors
- Support innovation, new product development, and product launches across the portfolio
- Monitor brand health, market share, KPIs, pricing, promotions, and ROI
- Prepare and present marketing performance reports and insights to management
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- CIM and/or MBA qualification is an added advantage
- 5–8 years’ experience in FMCG marketing, with at least 3+ years in brand or category management
- Prior experience in edible oils, fats, or food staples is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical, trade marketing, stakeholder management, and execution skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
