About the Graduate Fellowship Program
The SUS-AFRIC Graduate Fellowship Program is a 6-month, work-based, integrated learning experience designed for recent graduates who want more than theory. This is not an observer program.
As a Graduate Fellow, you will be embedded in active projects, working directly with communities, enterprises, and county systems to deliver practical solutions. The fellowship emphasizes hands-on execution, mentorship, accountability, and professional growth.
Your Impact as a Graduate Fellow
Graduate Fellows work in small, high-trust teams supporting projects across multiple counties. You will:
- Support project planning, implementation, and field execution
- Collect, analyze, and document data and insights
- Contribute to real solutions in livelihoods, food systems, enterprise growth, youth employment, and innovation
- Translate ideas into results through structured delivery and stakeholder engagement
- Build a professional portfolio based on real work, not classroom simulations
Depending on your track, you may contribute to:
- Value chain development
- Product and enterprise development
- Digital tools and software solutions
- Creative production and multimedia
- Community-based interventions

SUS-AFRIC is recruiting Graduate Fellows in the following fields:
1. Agriculture – Animal Production
- Degree in Agriculture (Animal Production)
2. Agriculture – Horticulture
- Degree in Agriculture (Horticulture)
3. IT & Software Engineering
- Degree in IT or Software Engineering
- Interest or experience in full-stack software development
4. Fashion & Design
- Degree in Fashion and Design
- Interest or experience in textile and fashion design
5. Beauty & Cosmetology
- Degree or Diploma in Beauty or Cosmetology
- Interest or experience in skincare and beauty services
6. Film & Multimedia
- Degree or Diploma in Film or Multimedia Production
- Interest or experience in videography, filming, and audiovisual production
Who Should Apply (Eligibility Criteria)
This fellowship is open to candidates who meet all of the following:
- Recent graduates with 0–3 years of experience
- Holders of a degree or diploma in a relevant field
- Currently not employed during the fellowship period
- Able to commit full-time for 6 months
