Job Vacancy: Production Supervisor

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily factory operations and lead production teams in Tamale. This role is critical to ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high quality standards, and enforcing strict health, safety, and compliance requirements within a growing food processing operation.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in factory or food processing environments, and the ability to drive productivity while managing people, processes, and equipment effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet output targets and timelines.
- Coordinate production schedules with the Factory Manager to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Oversee the entire production process, from raw material handling to finished goods.
- Develop and manage budgets and production forecasts for factory operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with organic certification standards and coordinate certification audits and inspections.
- Enforce adherence to health, safety, and food processing regulations at all times.
- Assess production requirements and allocate resources to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Select, order, and manage raw materials required for production.
- Organize routine maintenance and repairs of production equipment and machinery.
- Ensure all machines are maintained in excellent working condition and ready for efficient use.
- Supervise Production Officers and casual factory staff, providing guidance, training, and performance support.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in food processing or factory operations is a strong advantage.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven hands-on experience operating production machinery.
- Private sector experience is preferred.
