Job Description: People Operations Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced People Operations Manager to design, build, and manage efficient people systems across the organization. This role will oversee recruitment operations, onboarding and offboarding, performance management, culture initiatives, and HR process automation.

This is a hybrid role (2 days in office per week), offering the opportunity to lead impactful people initiatives in a mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hiring & Recruitment Operations
- Manage and continuously improve end-to-end recruitment processes across all departments
- Maintain structured hiring pipelines, role scorecards, and candidate databases
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external recruitment partners to ensure timely and aligned hiring
- Build, document, and maintain a recruitment playbook to ensure consistency and efficiency
2. Onboarding & Offboarding
- Design and refine a seamless onboarding experience for new hires
- Ensure new employees receive the right tools, access, and information during their first week
- Manage employee offboarding processes and conduct exit interviews
- Analyze exit feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities
3. Process Automation & HR Systems
- Build and manage a centralized hub for internal SOPs, HR policies, and employee resources
- Automate recurring workflows such as offer letters, surveys, and performance tracking
- Support the implementation, adoption, and optimization of HR tools and systems (e.g., Notion, Deel, Gusto)
4. Employee Experience & Culture
- Lead internal communications and organization-wide updates
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, feedback loops, and team bonding activities
- Organize virtual check-ins, town halls, and culture-building events
- Promote transparency, ownership, and collaboration across teams
5. Performance Management & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records, role documentation, and performance agreements
- Partner with managers to execute timely and effective performance reviews
- Monitor organizational structure and role alignment, recommending improvements where necessary
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or Talent Management
- Prior experience in a startup or high-growth tech environment is strongly preferred
- Proven experience designing, scaling, and optimizing HR systems and recruitment operations
- Strong project management and organizational skills with a proactive, results-driven mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong passion for clarity, structure, and documentation
- Familiarity with HR tools such as Notion, Deel, Gusto, or similar platforms is a plus
