    📌 Job Vacancy: Business Development Lead

    Location: Tamale, Ghana
    Department: Operations
    Employment Type: Full-Time
    Reports To: Head of Operations


    🧩 Role Overview

    We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Lead to drive revenue growth, expand market reach, and build sustainable partnerships across Ghana. This role blends strategic thinking, sales leadership, and hands-on market engagement to unlock new business opportunities and accelerate organizational impact.

    The ideal candidate is commercially savvy, highly motivated, and experienced in leading sales initiatives within fast-paced environments.


    🚀 Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement comprehensive business growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
    • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities locally and internationally to drive revenue and profitability.
    • Represent the company at sales events, trade shows, roadshows, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
    • Deliver compelling sales presentations to promote company products and encourage adoption.
    • Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
    • Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies to ensure timely product delivery and market penetration.
    • Utilize and promote the AMAATI customer-centric platform for efficient order management and partner engagement.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and insights.
    • Plan and execute market activation campaigns to drive product awareness and usage.
    • Build, manage, and maintain strong long-term relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
    • Prepare persuasive business proposals and negotiate contract terms with clients and partners.
    • Set, track, and monitor sales targets, providing regular forecasts and performance reports.
    • Leverage social media and digital platforms to promote products and engage customers.

    🎓 Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or a similar role—preferably within FMCG, agribusiness, or food processing sectors.
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, leading, and managing a sales team.
    • Strong background in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and contract negotiation.
    • Proficiency in digital sales platforms and CRM tools.
    • Excellent presentation, communication, and networking skills.

    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment.
    • Ability to work independently and across multiple locations (including Accra and Tamale).
