URGENT HIRING | GHANA NATIONALS ONLY
A leading gold mining operation in the Western Region of Ghana is seeking an experienced and highly driven Senior Construction Supervisor (Mining) to support ongoing growth and major capital projects.
This is a critical site-based role responsible for the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of infrastructure and construction works across the mining operation. The position reports directly to the PMC Superintendent and plays a key role in contractor supervision and construction execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily construction activities across site facilities including:
- Camps and accommodation
- Offices and administrative buildings
- Workshops and industrial facilities
- Roads, drainage systems, and general infrastructure
- Oversee building construction, refurbishments, concrete works, structural works, and civil installations
- Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure:
- Compliance with safety standards
- Adherence to quality requirements
- Delivery within scope, schedule, and budget
- Champion a strong safety-first culture aligned with site SHE systems and Minerals Commission of Ghana regulations
- Support development and execution of construction plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and activity sequencing
- Collaborate with planners to develop, manage, and track construction schedules using MS Project and/or Primavera
- Monitor construction progress, identify risks, manage resources, and implement corrective actions to meet project milestones
- Ensure compliance with mining, construction, and environmental regulations at all times
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Construction Management
- Civil Engineering
- Architecture
- Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in construction supervision or management
- Proven experience in mining, industrial, or heavy construction environments (strongly preferred)
- Engineering Certification or Senior Geotechnical Certification from the Minerals Commission, Ghana
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering body
- Strong knowledge of mining and construction regulations in Ghana
- Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera
- Working knowledge of:
- SAP
- Pronto Enterprise
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- Valid Ghana Driving Licence
- Valid First Aid Certificate
