    Chance for Children (CFC) is a child-focused non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that street-connected children and youth in Ghana are safe, educated, healthy, and equipped for life.

    CFC operates in Accra, Tema, Kasoa, Hebron, Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi, and Dambai, delivering integrated child and youth development programmes alongside family and community strengthening initiatives.     About the TVET Programme

    The CFC Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programme blends:

    • 80% work-based practical learning
    • 20% school-based theoretical instruction

    The programme is grounded in ethical values, professional attitudes, and life skills, preparing youth not only for jobs but for responsible, sustainable careers.


    Role Summary: TVET Coordinator

    The TVET Coordinator leads the design, coordination, and implementation of Chance for Children’s skills development and TVET initiatives for street-connected youth.

    This role translates CFC’s organizational strategy into high-quality, demand-driven TVET programmes that improve employability, promote ethical work practices, and expand access to decent income opportunities.

    The TVET Coordinator ensures programmes remain relevant, adaptive, and future-focused by analyzing labour market trends, strengthening industry partnerships, tracking outcomes, and collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.


    Key Responsibilities

    Programme Leadership & Implementation

    • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of CFC’s TVET and skills development programmes
    • Ensure alignment with CFC’s mission, strategy, and child protection standards
    • Maintain high quality across training, apprenticeships, and work-based learning pathways

    Labour Market & Industry Alignment

    • Analyze labour market trends to ensure training remains demand-driven
    • Adapt curricula and training models to meet evolving industry needs
    • Promote ethical work habits, professionalism, and employability skills

    Partnership Development

    • Build and manage partnerships with:
      • TVET institutions
      • Employers and private sector companies
      • Artisans, workshops, and training providers
    • Strengthen pathways from training to employment, self-employment, or income generation

    Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

    • Track key programme indicators and youth outcomes
    • Document lessons learned and integrate improvements into programme design
    • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

    Collaboration & Coordination

    • Work closely with branch teams, social workers, and programme staff
    • Collaborate with internal departments including Child Protection, Education, and Operations
    • Represent CFC in relevant skills development and TVET networks

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Technical/Vocational Education, Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field
    • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in TVET, youth skills development, or workforce development programmes
    • Strong understanding of labour market systems and employability pathways
    • Experience working with vulnerable youth or marginalized communities is an advantage
    • Proven ability to manage partnerships and multi-stakeholder initiatives
